3D-Puff sews satin stitches over a foam insert so the design stands off the garment. The file decides whether it works: columns wide enough to cut the foam, edges fully sealed and density that holds the lift. We digitize every puff file by hand.
A sheet of embroidery foam sits on the garment and wide satin columns are stitched over it. The needle perforates the foam along each edge so the excess tears away, leaving the design raised. To work, the file needs column widths that cut cleanly through your foam, edges that close it in completely and density that holds the height without crushing it. We build every 3D-Puff file by hand.
