Applique combines cut fabric with machine stitching. Every file we build has the placement line, tack-down and border stitch in the right sequence, set by hand for your fabric and border style.
An applique file runs three stops in order. First a placement run shows where the fabric goes. Then a tack-down stitch holds the fabric to the garment so you can trim it. Last, a satin or border stitch covers the raw edge and locks it in. Getting all three right for each fabric and shape takes hand planning.

Applique gives a bold look with far fewer stitches on large areas, but it needs its own digitizing approach.

Send your artwork, fabric and border style. Large filled areas often cost less as applique.
